Pleasant Hill Go-Getters August 28, 2023 Meeting​

 The meeting was called to order by Mason at 6:42pm. Lily and McCabe led the Pledges. No new birthdays but we had one guest. Anna passed out the roll call and read the secretary’s report. The secretary’ s report was motioned by Marshall, seconded by Evan, and passed. McCabe then read the treasurer's report, which was motioned by Evan, seconded by Lily, and passed.
 For old business we discussed our August meeting. Old Business was motioned by Marshall, seconded by Lily, and passed. Prior to discussing New Business, Lily talked about the Fill my bucket activity. Lily gave everyone slips of paper for them to write nice things about the other club members and then add to everyone's bucket.
 For New Business, our historians, Hope W. and Lorelei presented the historian book that they completed for the year. It took them many many hours to complete and it was wonderful! The parents started reviewing the record books while the meeting carried on. Please note that the Haunted Barn dates will be October 13th, 14th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 26th, 27th, and 28th. Set up will be October 7th and 8th from 10-4pm. Please make sure to sign up. Our September meeting will be our Bring A Friend meeting! Members who bring a friend will receive a reward for doing so. Our annual Sherman Creek Park Clean Up will be September 25th, starting at 5:30. Please bring rakes, tarps, trimmers etc. We talked about S.M.A.R.T. goals and all the youth wrote down their goals for the year. We also voted on our club goals for the year. We decided on:

1. Increase membership by 15%.
2. Have a monthly club social and service project.
3. More 4-H promotion like stickers, etc.
4. Bring 2 friends to a 4-H activity.
5. Put together a yearly calendar. Each family coordinates the events for the month.

 We then moved on to our leadership team elections. Lily made a motion to suspend Robert's Rules of Order so that we could do a voice vote instead of a paper ballot. Evan seconded and it was passed.
The club voted in:

• Mason as President
• Skyler and Grayson as Vice Presidents
• McCabe as Treasurer
• Hope W., Sophie and Lorelei as Historians
• Lizzy and Marshall as Sergeant at Arms
• Anna and Hope S. as Sunshine
• The secretary position is still vacant.

 After elections, Skyler shared his video that he made on his goat soap project! There were no demonstrations or announcements. Evan made a motion to adjourn the meeting, Lily seconded and it was passed. The meeting was adjourned at 7:50 pm.

Pleasant Hill Go-Getters August 14, 2023 Meeting​

 The meeting was called to order at 6:37 pm. Lily and Lizzie led pledges. Abby passed out roll call, and read the secretary's report. The secretary’ s report was motioned by Evan, seconded by Anna, and passed. McCabe then read the treasurer's report, which was motioned by Evelyn, seconded by Anna, and passed.
 For Old Business, members who got a Grand Champion or Champion stood up and said what their project was and what award it got. We then talked about the After The Fair Pool Party. We then had the members of our club who were going to have projects going to the State Fair stand up and state what their project was. Old Business was motioned by Evelyn, seconded, and passed.
 For New Business, we talked about Record Books and how to do them. We also explained how to apply for experiences. We then had Greyson, Mason, McCabe, Abby, and Hope talk about the experiences that they had been on. The Fall Forum is coming up, and will be held on November 4th and 5th, and it is highly recommended for older youth to attend. We have a goal setting meeting on August 28th, so be sure to come! Remember that the Haunted Barn dates will be October 13th, 14th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 26th, 27th, and 28th. We will have a Haunted Barn set up on October 12th for you to drop your kids off at, and pick them up when you finish work! Our September meeting will be our Bring A Friend meeting! Members who bring a friend will receive a reward for doing so. Our annual Sherman Creek Park Clean Up will be September 25th, starting at 5:30. Afterwards, there will be a potluck, so bring a dish to share if you plan on staying for that. New Business was motioned by Evan, seconded by Abby, and passed. Evan made a motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by LIly, and was passed. The meeting was adjourned at 7:19 pm.
